Illicit Discharge Detection and Elimination (IDDE) Programs are one of the six minimum control measures that are required to be included in the MS4 permit holder’s stormwater management program.  The webinar provided an overview of the key requirements of IDDE Programs, highlighting the most effective methods for detecting sources of discharges, conducting inspections and sampling. Outfall monitoring, program mapping considerations, common approaches to outfall screening including typical physical and chemical indicators was covered as well as a discussion about inspection documentation, investigation, reporting and violations.
