Kyle Gentry Dragonfly Pond Works Director of Operations
|
How long have you been a member of SESWA (years)? I have been a member for one year.
Have you served SESWA in the past? If so, how? No, I have not.
What abilities and attributes can you bring to the Board? I bring the point of view from the stormwater contractor as well as the individual owners/managers responsible for stormwater devices. I have a realistic understanding of how regulations, design, and maintenance costs can impact a variety of end-users. I am familiar with a large number of stormwater regulations and design impact across multiple states.
What background and experience do you have in the stormwater industry? I have eight years in the stormwater industry and currently hold the Director of Operations position for one of the largest stormwater contractors in the Southeast. I began my career in the field and worked my way up through a variety of roles; this allowed me to see the impact of sales and operations on multiple levels. Currently I oversee all aspects of our 15 (and growing) branches and the production of our 250 team members across 10+ states. We provide a variety of stormwater services types including: inspection, sediment basin conversion, dredging, erosion repair, install, vacuum work, fountains, mowing, aquatic treatment, and many other compliance related services.
Why do you want to serve on the Board of Directors? I am passionate about educating all stakeholders on the importance of stormwater management and opening lines of communication between all levels of the stormwater industry. I hope to make an impact by changing the attitude some owners/managers have towards these devices and encourage a preventative maintenance approach where possible. I strive to encourage stormwater system designs that are easier to maintain and aesthetically pleasing for the owners.
